If you're a comic book fan, you've probably heard of DC's forthcoming mega-event-to-end-all-events called Convergence.
The wildly ambitious miniseries, which will preempt all regular DC titles for two whole months, dives deep into the multiverse, where the heroes and villains from disparate DC dimensions are pitted against one another. The big draw of this concept is getting to see characters from the various corners of the multiverse all in the same story, and the roster includes everything DC has ever done, including long-lost universes like the pre-"New 52" Earth and Stan Lee's "Just Imagine" titles.
Entertainment Weekly just got its hands on the solicits for the first four issues of the main Convergence series (there are a ton of tie-in titles, too) and have spilled the details on just exactly why all of these universes are colliding and what will happen when they do. And yes, if you're not fully versed on DC Comics lore, you can expect to be thoroughly confused.
Here are the solicits for Convergence #1-4, which go on sale throughout April. Spoilers ahead.

Inside Skartaris, the heroes of Earth 2 must face the only man who can stop them from finding the missing Time Travelers. But why would Travis Morgan, aka The Warlord, want to kill them?
Meanwhile, Telos takes the captive Dick Grayson to several of the battling cities to prove the futility of challenging him. And whatever you do, do not miss the final page, as the surprising return of an unexpected villain could crush all hope for salvation and seal the doom of everyone on the planet!
Sounds exciting, no? Even if you have no idea what's going on, it should be a fun read.
Incidentally, Marvel Comics is planning its own summer mega-event called Secret Wars. It brings the heroes and scenarios from past event series — like Civil War, House of M, Old Man Logan and many more — together on a single "Battleworld" where a mysterious entity forces them to fight each other.
Sound kinda familiar?
For what it's worth, DC's announcement of Convergence predates Marvel's Secret Wars announcement, but we'll probably never know which event was conceived first.
