Everybody loves a good mash-up.
Perhaps no one loves them more than the folks at DC Comics, who've been on a roll lately with their themed comic book cover variants. This time they've pulled out all the stops, introducing a series of variant covers for March 2015 that are modeled after classic movie posters. DC has been revealing them exclusively across several news outlets.
And they're just spot-on perfect. Here's one of the best. It's a Green Lantern #40 cover made to look like 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Or how about this one for Wonder Woman #40, made in the style of 300.
And here's Justice League #40 meets Magic Mike.
See more variants at SlashFilm, HitFix, BuzzFeed and Newsarama. You'll find an Aquaman modeled after Free Willy, Batman & Robin that looks like Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, a Superman/Wonder Woman that's made in the style of Gone With the Wind, and many more.
Unlike other specialty variants, DC's covers won't be impossible to find, so chances are you'll be able to grab them at your local comic shop or online. Look for them in stores this coming March.
