The upcoming Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have been exciting tech enthusiasts and Google hardware fans ever since they were first announced. There is more about them to be excited about now as specs, features, and other important details have been revealed.

In an exclusive report, Front Page Tech details the full final specifications for the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

Google Pixel 6's full final specs, according to the report by Front Page Tech, includes 6.4-inch screen size, an AMOLED display, 8GB RAM, and an Android 12 OS.

Storage for the Google Pixel 6 is either at 128GB or 256GB. The rear camera setup is at 50MP (wide) + 12MP (ultra wide), while the front camera is 8MP.

As for the Google Pixel 6 Pro, its full final specs include 6.71-inch screen size, plastic OLED display, and 12 GB. It's front camera is 12 MP while its rear camera setup is 50MP (wide) + 48MP (tele) + 12MP (ultra wide).

Storage options are 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Similar to the Pixel 6, the Pixel 6 Pro has an Android 12 OS.

Per the report, Google will provide "at least 5 years of software updates for both of these devices." Current Google Pixel phones only have three years of OS and security updates, according to a report by Forbes.

While Google has yet to confirm an official release date for both the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro, Front Page tech has been informed by its source/s that the release of the phones will be "sometime near October of 2021."

That can still change depending on the ongoing chip shortage. According to a report by Tom's Guide, the chip shortage can push the release date to November.

What is Google Pixel?

Google Pixel brand was first introduced in 2013 and is currently made up of phones, tablets, laptops, and accessories. The first ever product released under the Google Pixel brand is the Chromebook Pixel.

As far as Google Pixel smartphones are concerned, the first generation phones were first announced in 2016. The Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL are the brand's first generation smartphones.

Succeeding Google Pixel smartphones that followed include Pixel 2 & 2 XL, Pixel 3 & 3 XL, Pixel 3a & 3a XL, Pixel 4 & 4 XL, Pixel 4a & 4a XL, and Pixel 5.

Google Pixel 6 Pro will be the first smartphone to have the "Pro" branding instead of the "XL" branding.

Laptops under the Pixel brand include the Chromebook Pixel (2013 and 2015), Pixebook, and Pixelbook Go. Pixel brand tablets, on the other hand, include the Pixel C and Pixel Slate. Finally, Pixel Buds, Pixelbook Pen, and Pixel Stand are the accessories part of the brand.
