Apple macOS Montereys' Quick Note feature introduces productivity functions that support switching from supported apps and devices in the Apple ecosystem, such as the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
The main focus of the Quick Note feature is to allow jotting down information anywhere in the macOS Monterey.
macOS Monterey: New Features
In hindsight, the Quick Note is one of the key features that the Apple macOS Monterey introduced during the WWDC, alongside the FaceTime and Messages improvement, Live Text, and Maps options.
To be precise, the new OS for Macs included some features that the iOS 15 first sported, like the Apple Focus feature and the support for spatial audio on FaceTime.
Additionally, the Cupertino giant has already started rolling out the macOS Monterey Public Beta, as per MacRumors. Thus, the aforementioned functions are already live for some users.
macOS Monterey Quick Note: What Does it Do
The new feature of macOS serves as an extension for the existing Notes app, which has been available on most Apple devices for years now.
TechRadar noted that the Quick Note introduces a function that allows Mac users to take down a note or copy a piece of information, albeit using another app or Safari. Yes, jotting down notes will no longer require users to scramble as they open the built-in Notes app.
The Quick Note could directly copy links from the supported apps of the feature, regardless of where you are on your Mac.
Additionally, it works even as the app is either in full-screen mode or Split View.

How to Use macOS Monterey Quick Note
With the new shortcut finally in place, point your cursor to the screen corner you have chosen earlier. After doing that, a blank window will pop up on the side of your display. By clicking it, the Notes app will be summoned, so you are ready to jot down whatever you're trying to take note of.
Notably, any note that is taken from the new feature syncs across all the Apple devices of the user.
