Game & Watch: "The Legend of Zelda" handheld is coming on November 12, as revealed by Nintendo Direct during E3 2021. It will include three "Zelda" games and another title. And here's how to pre-order it.
Game & Watch: "The Legend of Zelda"
NintendoLife reported that another Game & Watch title is coming before the Christmas season. The "Zelda" handheld will include "The Legend of Zelda," "Zelda II: The Adventure of Link," and "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening."
Additionally, it will be featuring "Vermin," including Link as one of the characters to choose from.
The new Game & Watch title commemorates the 35th anniversary of "The Legend of Zelda," priced at $49.99. The device will be displaying the colors green and gold on its body.
"Zelda" has a special clock mode, which features both interactive timers and watches -- there will be easter eggs to watch out for this feature.
It is similar to the "Super Mario Bros." Game & Watch in terms of the clock mode. It also comes along with a screen that could play the games in vibrant colors, as per Forbes. To add, it is the same LCD that the "Mario" release flaunted.
Moreover, the classic titles could be played in two languages: English and Japanese.
The Verge reported that, in the past, there are other three games that also have a Game & Watch console. It includes the "Super Mario Bros. 2," and the original "Super Mario Bros." The "Ball" also had its self-themed handheld.
The news outlet also noted that it is likely to sport a USB-C charging port as previous versions carried it.
'The Legend of Zelda' Sequel
In related news, the "Breath of the Wild 2" teaser was also released in E3 2021 by Nintendo Direct. It has confirmed to its fans that the story of Zelda continues to live on.
The sequel will follow the first "Zelda" title that has been released on the Nintendo Switch. Also, the upcoming installation is coming after four years since the console had a new "Zelda" game.
Hence, its fans have been looking forward to its release. Previous rumors of the sequel even stated that developers were only waiting for E3 to unveil what they have in store for their followers. And indeed that speculations have come true, as the latest "Zelda" game dropped during the final hours of the event.
How To Pre-Order
The actual release is still a few months away from now. However, there are ways to secure your purchase even as early as now, at least in the United States.
