"Valheim" developer Iron Gate Studio has announced that the upcoming "Hearths and Home" update will face a delay this year in Q3. The Swedish game creator said that the four updates are not arriving as planned since the team will be focusing on urgent technical problems.
Why Iron Gate Studio Delays 'Valheim' Update?
On Thursday, June 10, Iron Gates posted an update on the Steam store page. According to the developers, the surge of updates won't be happening this 2021. Instead, they will release the "Hearths and Home" updates this summer.
Furthermore, we could expect some changes in the roadmap by the time of the update. The devs said that the original roadmap will be temporarily removed to make room for some improvements and tweaks. We speculate that when the revamped version comes out, it would be smaller than the previous one.
Fans have been wondering at present that the popular survival game will be postponed for the meantime. This is because of the "massive influx" of players that is affecting the game's stability. With that, the developers are looking forward to solving the mess that has been made.
In any way, Iron Gate is eyeing to give the users the best stable gaming experience that they want to achieve. Anyway, the video game creator confirmed that its members would do the QA testing and debugging for the new content that will sneak.
GameSpot reported on Thursday, June 10 that Iron Gate will shift its production to developing the major update involving the "Mistlands" and other improvements in "Valheim."
To give you a preview, we could anticipate that the "Hearths and Home" patch will be released sometime from July to September. On Friday, June 11, you can catch up with Iron Gate Studios in the r/Valheim at 8 AM ET/2 PM CEST, 5 AM PT so you could hear more news about the new roadmap and the most awaited update.
What We Could See in 'Valheim Hearths And Home' Update?
According to the recent report of PC Gamer, the "Valheim" developer would include the window hatch building pieces and the dark wood roof in the "Hearths and Home" update. We could also see extensions for cooking stations such as pots, butcher blocks, and spice racks.
There are also contents about the new food recipes and plants. Some recipes include Eyescream, wolf meats, and Shocklate smoothie to name a few.
Also, there is a featured "food system" which will tell more about your health. It will be useful during combat since the healthier you are, the higher your ability to receive hits and damage the opponents.
Iron Gate Studio said that the roadmap will be more "fluid" than usual. It might take some time for the updates to be unveiled due to the delay, but the developer assured that the players will have a more interactive gaming experience this time.
