'Valheim' Mod Transforms Norse Map into 'World of Warcraft's' Azeroth--What Fans Should See on this Change?

From "Valheim" to "World of Warcraft," the new game mod features Azeroth, the popular map from Blizzard Entertainment's multiplayer online RPG.

Although the survival game has not maintained its Steam charts' rank each week, Iron Gate Studio's indie creation has been growing through different communities that create different mods.

For those who are playing "WoW," you will surely love how "Valheim" transformed the Norse myth map into a magical, ancient world.

While we know that "Valheim" entirely came from the origins of the rich Norse mythology, we could incorporate other worlds into the game so we could get a different euphoria in playing.

According to a report by Gamerant on Monday, May 10, the game's map is always compared to Skyrim from Bethesda's widely-known game, "The Elder Scrolls."

This time, the modders wanted something new for its map, and they recently explored modding the region into fresh content that fans would love.

Earlier, there was a build that brought Sauron's tower to the game. That's how diverse the game is when it comes to different builds.

The collaborative mod made by Kromek is named "Valheim of Warcraft" which was published on Saturday, May 8.

According to the creator, the brand-new map made use of "World of Warcraft" version 9.0's landmasses but with the absence of key features like a maelstrom and other Shadowlands' designs which offer a unique aesthetic setting.

The starting point begins on Timeless Isle, and as far as a "WoW" player is concerned, there are various portal hubs in the game. Each zone will have its own path of progress, as the mod's features read.

'Valheim of Warcraft' Version Versus the Original Azeroth Map

Anthony McGlynn of PCGamesN reported on Sunday, May 9 that while the regular features of "WoW" 9.0 were missing, we could still see the Azuremyth Isle, Wandering Isle, Broken Isles, Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Northrend, and more places that we could wander.

In fact, the landmasses that Azeroth owns are only lessened to 20 percent. The reason why not all features are presented in the mod is to make the "Valheim" exploration easier and faster.

In the next mods, the original modder could show us some additional cosmetic maps, as well as the nostalgic battlegrounds of "World of Warcraft." Through the help of Jaxrud and billw2011, the users from the Nexus Mods, all these things mentioned will potentially arrive in the future.

"Valheim" has still a long way before catching up with one of the longest-running multiplayer online RPGs, but we could clearly see the path that it has been traversing--a bright future for the survival game.

Through the years, we could see more of "Valheim" mod as it improves and we could expect that hundreds of mods out there will come into the game some other time.

The far-reaching region where a Viking character roams has been on a hot start since its February launch. For Iron Gate which started in 2018, the creation of "Valheim" is only the beginning of its endeavor when it comes to game developing and publishing.

The Swedish startup sold more than one million copies of the game during its Early Access on PC in the first week.
