"Avengers" game and "Borderlands" spin-off leak revealed by E3. Gamers should get ready for an XCOM-style Marvel game coming up soon! A leak about the popular 2K's upcoming slate of games, which would include a "Borderlands" spin-off and even an XCOM-style Marvel game, is now true!
'Avengers' and 'Borderlands' Spin-Off
According to the story by GamesBeat (VentureBeat) by Jeff Grubb and Jason Schrieirer of Bloomberg, a particular Reddit post by u/swine_flu_gang along with more information regarding the 2K's upcoming games is actually accurate. The leak also covers three different unannounced titles coming from the publisher in addition to one of the different cover athletes of the much expected upcoming NBA 2K22.
The story by GameStop notes that according to them, Dirk Nowitzki, who has already retired from the NBA back in 2019, might actually be on the cover of one of the game's premium versions. This would be quite like with Kobe Bryant on the previous Mamba edition that rolled out last year.
XCOM Marvel Heroes
The leak also states that the very first Firaxis Games, the developer of XCOM, is now working on the upcoming Marvel game and describes the fame as XCOM along with Marvel heroes. Due to the description, gamers might even be able to expect their favorite Marvel heroes in a strategy game.
The new "Borderlands" spin-off is now being developed by Gearbox, with Randy Pitchford tweeting that any particular "Borderlands" title would be developed quite solely by Gearbox. The game is now apparently titled "Tiny Tina's Wonderlands" and is now expected to follow the whole class-based shooting gameplay of the game's main series.
Codename Volt
The final game in the leak is now called the Codename Volt which is a supernatural sci-fi game being developed by Hangar 13, which had previously created Mafia 3. The game was supposedly described in the leak as a cross between Cthulhu and Saints Row, which now sounds like quite an interesting combination.
Coming along with the leaks, it is important to take all of this with a grain of salt until 2K is expected to officially announce any of the actual titles. Gearbox is now holding its official E3 presentation this coming Saturday, June 12, 2021. This, however, does not yet have an official time.
