What is the Fire Challenge on TikTok?
The TikTok Fire Challenge stems from Jack Jerry's personal TikTok account. The famous TikToker posted numerous videos that show him spraying hairspray on his mirror in a shape of a star, circle, or square and then lighting it on fire in the dark.
The challenge is very dangerous. Using any flammable substance with a lighter is one of the fastest ways to start a fire, and it is also labeled as too extreme for a TikTok video.
Jack Jerry responds to comments on his account, mostly from fans asking him to create certain shapes like squares, circles, lightning bolts, triangles, and more.
Jerry is a model, gymnast, and actor and currently has 1.8 million followers and 34.9 million likes. Unfortunately, numerous people are enticed by the challenge and had tried their hand at recreating it.
Based on his videos, he is knowledgeable of his fire craft. Besides, there is a disclaimer posted on his videos, warning beginners about how dangerous his stunts are.
TikTok is no stranger to very dangerous challenges. In 2020, the Benadryl challenge caught the attention of The Food and Drug Administration and asked TikTok to remove the videos from its platform after the challenge urged participants to take as many Benadryl as they can to try to experience hallucinations.
According to Forbes, the dangerous challenged resulted in the death of a teen from Oklahoma.
