Meet a new and unusual challenge: turn an old, ruined farm into the dream event destination with "Wedding Designer: Prologue," the newest game from developer Forestlight Games and publisher Playway SA.
The new video game is a simulator that puts you at the helm of an event organizing agency tasked to plan a large event. You will be responsible for transforming unsightly, mostly abandoned locations into glamorous, fun, and definitely memorable event sites. While the game is titled "Wedding Designer: Prologue," a statement from PlayWay SA says that your agency will be responsible for various types of events: weddings, birthdays, disco parties, and more.
The free-to-play game, "Wedding Designer: Prologue" on Steam, has eleven supported languages - both for its UI and dialogue subtitles.
A Taste of the Things to Come
While more features are definitely on the way once "Wedding Designer" drops in the future, "Wedding Designer: Prologue" packs enough features to make you want more. In the recently released version by Forestlight Games and PlayWay SA, you begin your quest by seeing the grounds of an old and ruined farmland - the setting of your first big party!
Understand the terrain and plan the layout of your event, and rely on your creativity to turn the trash and rubbish into decors and tools that will improve your party. Repair, clean, and decorate the location - with the customer's specifications as your loose guide and your intuition in charge of the rest.
In its first-person view, you can walk around and explore the farmland: the barn houses, the animals, the granaries, and the fields. Of course, the bounds of your project in "Wedding Designer: Prologue" is clearly marked by a simple yet homely-looking fence, with the entrance to the farm being a pair of haystacks.
As you proceed to your task of preparing the best party ever, you go around the farm cleaning and repairing things. From picking up pieces of plank scattered about to changing the color of the walls, Forestlight Games never misses an opportunity to make these mundane tasks a fun and interesting experience.
The game equips you with a variety of tools to help you: from chainsaws for cutting wood, a paint gun for that fast color, to a futuristic-looking vacuum cleaner that stores everything you pick up on the way - and stores them in a pocket dimension, probably.
Not An Ordinary Planning Experience
As with any game, "Wedding Designer: Prologue" also has its challenges and enemies to watch out for. One of the tasks involved in planning the party is looking for items that would lead to you the next step of your project. Get ready to tussle with pigs and goats - some of them are on the roof, mind you - and search them for important items they might be hiding. As an out-of-the-box planning simulator, the game involves some crazy quests, such as putting earphones on pigs.
Also, there are intruders you have to keep a lookout for. These uninvited strangers would crash into the property when you might not be looking and throw a wrench in your carefully crafted plans.
These and many more make the new simulator from Forestlight Games and PlayWay SA a unique and interesting experience.
