Other Types of In-Game Abuse

Although female gamers tend to get the brunt of it, anyone can get abused in the community. There are other types of in-game abuse that you could encounter aside from harassment.

Here are different kinds of toxic activities that you need to know:

Hate Speech

According to CyberSmile's report, hate speech is one of the most common in-game abuses experienced by various players across the globe. This greatly affects men and women at the same time.

Swatting and Doxing

These two in-game abuses are less toxic compared to hate speech since they only annoy other players. They are more like teasing.

Griefing

On the other hand, Griefing is a less serious offense since it only involves stealing your teammates' kills, using cheats, and other annoying activities that don't attack other players personally.
