Google Flutter 2.2's Android Updates
According to ZDNet's latest report, the search engine giant launched its Flutter 2.2 version during Google I/O 2021. This new version will be very different from the previous Flutter 2.0, which focuses on connecting mobile apps to desktop, as well as web and embedded apps.
The new Flutter 2.2 will specifically target cloud service integration and monetization. Aside from this, it will also offer some updates to improve your Android app experience.
- Flutter is being integrated into the developer stack with a new ads SDK and a payment plugin that enables payment for physical goods on both iOS and Android.
- The new Flutter 2.2 used Dart 2.13 to expand support for native interoperability.
- On the other hand, it also leads to added memory allocation tracking and third-party tool extensions for DevTools.
- Flutter 2.2 also offers tooling to reduce first-run errors for iOS and performance improvements with background caching and deferred components for Android.
