The Galaxy S20 FE was such a massive hit for Samsung, and the Galaxy S21 FE is predicted to be a hit too. It is reported that the S21 alternative will enter mass production in July, which is now only two months away.
Galaxy S21 FE Production
The actual release date is rumored to come in August.
Fans have already seen renders of the device, which unsurprisingly follows the Galaxy S21 design language, according to GSMArena. The S21 FE is also expected to bring a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a centered 32MP punch-hole camera, Exynos 2100, or Snapdragon 888 chipset depending on the region, and 128/256GB storage capacity.
Fans have also seen evidence of a 4,500 mAh battery, and the phone is expected to arrive in White, Gray, Pink, and Violet, although the new tweet also mentions Light Green and Light Violet options.
Galaxy S21 FE Leaks
The price is a detail that fans do not have an idea of yet, but it may have a launch price in line with the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition, which cost $699 for a 5G model, as per TechRadar.
If anything, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE might be cheaper than its predecessor, as the Samsung Galaxy S21 has a lower launch price than the Galaxy S20 did.
The upcoming phone will apparently be a bit taller and wider than the main Galaxy S21, with a 6.4-inch display instead of a 6.2-inch one. The rear camera bump, meanwhile, will be connected to the rear casing rather than the metal frame.
When it comes to battery capacity, LetsGoDigital stated that there will be a 4,500mAh battery just like its predecessor, basically beating the 4,000mAh capacity battery in the regular Samsung Galaxy S21.
Other sources claim that a phone with the model number SM-G990B is in development, and it's believed that might be the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.
At the very least the model number would seem to place it in the Galaxy S21 range.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will also reportedly have a 32MP front-facing camera, and it will come in white, light green, grey, pink, and purple shades, according to Gadgets 360. Beyond that, fans can predict that it will have a top-end Snapdragon or Exynos chipset.
In the case of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition, the 4G version got the Exynos 990 while the 5G one got the Snapdragon 865.
So, perhaps fans will see a similar split again, but with the next generation of these chipsets, namely the Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 888.
Both of those chipsets are considered very powerful, and are currently among the best that users can get in a smartphone.
Fans are hoping to get a premium glass back and a lower price compared to its predecessor and the original Galaxy S21.They are also hoping for a brighter screen since the Galaxy S20 FE struggled in direct sunlight, and the automatic brightness sometimes felt dimmer than it should.
Better battery and faster charging time are also expected in the new S21 FE smartphone since the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE charging speed was not as impressive.
