As of the moment, iOS users are the only ones who can enjoy the popular app's new feature. Although this is the case, Snapchat confirmed that it will soon release it on Android devices so that more people can take advantage of it.

However, there's one method you can do so that you can have the latest Snapchat Dark Mode feature right away. To help you further, here are other details you should know.

How to Get Snapchat Dark Mode on Android

ScreenRant reported that you need to locate the App Appearance section before you can use Snapchat's new Dark Mode feature. You can access it by opening your Snapchat application and clicking your profile icon, which is located in the top left corner of your screen.

After that, you can now click the Settings icon on the top right corner of your app. Doing this will allows you to open a long list of settings options. The messaging application's App Appearance section is currently available on iOS smartphones. If you are not seeing it, this means that you are not eligible yet to access the new Dark Mode feature.

But, you can still use your Android smartphone's Preferences Manager app. Doing this will allow you to have early access to the new capability of Snapchat. Here are the steps you need to follow:

XDA Developers explained that Android users need to install the Preferences Manager app from Google's Play Store.

After that, they must choose Snapchat on the app's home page. Once they are done with this, they can now open the "APP_START_EXPERIMENT_PREFS.xml" file.

The "DARK_MODE" flag will appear after opening the file. You need to set it to "ENABLED." After that, you can now use Snapchat's in-development Dark Mode version on your Android.
