Zoom and other video platforms are currently essential for users who are now working remotely. Aside from this, Zoom is also used in business meetings and online classes.
However, the experience it provides is still incomparable to the actual physical experience during a regular class or meeting.
Nevertheless, a new feature might change this since Zoom now allows up to 25 participants to be in the same virtual room, such as a classroom, boardroom, auditorium, and other digital backgrounds.
The so-called Immersive View feature is the same as the current Microsoft Teams Together Mode, which was previously released in July 2020. On the other hand, Skype also received this kind of capability back in December 2020.
The new Zoom Immersive View mode also uses an AI segmentation to combine all of its participants in a virtual space with the same digital background.
To help you further, here are its other details.
Zoom Immersive View's Details
According to ZDNet's latest report, the popular video app's new capability can help make video meetings more realistic. It could also reduce the virtual meeting fatigues that some users experience.

On the other hand, Zoom's new feature is confirmed to be available for Single Pro and even Free accounts.
However, you should make sure that your Zoom app is updated to Version 5.6.3 or higher versions on Windows or macOS.
Aside from this, you can also access it through the web portal. But, the video platform's new feature is not available on its mobile version as of the moment. Although this is the case, Zoom might soon release it on mobile as well. All you need to do is wait for further announcements.
Using Zoom's New Feature
Zoom Help Center provided the steps you need to access the new Immersive feature. Here is a quick guide you can use:
- The first thing you need to do is open your Zoom account.
- After that, you need to click the app's menu and then choose the "Account Management." Once you are there, you must click the "Account Settings" option.
- Start a Zoom virtual meeting and look for the "Advanced" section, then find the Immersive View option.
- Participants can also choose not to use the Immersive View mode. If you want the feature to be mandatory, all you need to do is click the Lock icon in the settings.
