Climate Change is set to be trampled by a technology based in Iceland. The technology is reportedly called Direct Air Capture.
This adds unto the initiatives taken by other countries, which include Scotland that now has its entire electricity consumption from renewable energy.
Earth's Climate is Warming up Fast
The need to combat Climate Change has never been more apparent in recent years as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported that there hasn't been as much carbon dioxide in the world's atmosphere in over three hundred years than how it currently is right now.
According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.(NASA) Climate Change is a change in the usual weather found in a place. It said the researchers who study the Earth's climate can attest how the world is getting warmer due to the accumulation of greenhouse gasses produced by various human activities
According to Greentumble, carbon dioxide (CO₂) gas is one of the biggest contributors to this phenomenon. With that being said, this latest technology "Direct Air Capture" found in Iceland could help the world a lot as it is created to lessen CO₂ in the atmosphere.

What is 'Direct Air Capture'?
Direct Air Capture, according to Carbon Removed, is a project that is made to fight the ongoing climate change that is said to be moving at an "unprecedented rate" since the mid-20th century according to NASA.
The technological advancement combined with storage is a form of carbon dioxide removal. The devices are also said to be powered solely by renewable energy or energy-from-waste.
How Does a 'Direct Air Capture' Work?
The Direct Air Capture CO₂ collectors selectively capture carbon dioxide in a two-step process. The process starts with it's drawing of the air nto the collector with a fan, capturing carbon dioxide on the surface of a highly selective filter material that sits inside the collectors.
Later on, when the filter material is full with carbon dioxide - the collector closes and the temperature as it increases to between 80 and 100 °C releasing the CO₂.
The result is a high-purity, high-concentration carbon dioxide which can be collected and stored, the gas completely removed from the atmosphere.

Ways to Support the Direct Air Capture Project
Minimize Carbon Footprint
You can do this by making sure transport is purposeful, not wasteful, supporting the use of alternative ways to gain energy, research, among other endeavors that support projects that seek to battle climate change.

On the Reversal of Climate Change
The Direct Air Capture aims to reverse climate change in the world. It is made by Climeworks, in partnership with Carbon Removed and Carbfix. It is said to be one of the most accurate and efficient removal methods of a greenhouse gas in the atmosphere.
Despite this, the creators admit that the biggest disadvantage of this project is the cost. As with all technologies in their infancy, direct air capture is currently one of the most expensive methods to remove CO₂ from the atmosphere. To this, they ask for support as they continue to search for a more affordable way to do the CO₂ removal.
