Tesla has now refunded the customers that it has double-charged on their recent transactions, particularly for those who bought the company's electric vehicle online, using their credit cards and having it shipped at home. Initially, the owners were crying out for help, as twice the amount of money was billed on their transactions that proved to be a hassle to get back.
The popular electric vehicle manufacturer and clean energy company have been promoting the use of its online stores since before the pandemic for a supposed hassle-free purchase of vehicles and products it offers. The website is intuitive as it explains the details of Tesla's EVs, along with its specifications and additional changes or requests from the company.
The likes of Christopher T. Lee and other excited Tesla EV owners had their enthusiasm shattered that upon receiving their electric vehicles, their credit cards were charged twice the amount they expected. While the case of online purchases from Tesla grew during the pandemic, this was the first news where the company had doubled the price of their EVs on multiple cases.

Tesla Refunds Double Charge Customers on EV Purchases
In a recent post from the Tesla Owners Forum, a discussion among the EV owners and enthusiasts of the company was tackling the issue of the double credit card charges made by Tesla as it caused "harm" to its customers. One customer named "everydaychris" mentioned that he got a $200 coupon for an online store after the incident.
Chris appreciated the gesture of Tesla to include freebies and compensation for the "inconvenience" caused by the clean energy company after taking the same amount the owners were willing to pay. The Tesla owner here confirmed that Tesla has already refunded the same amount that was taken from him, and that all harm was done.
The owner, eveydaychris, has confirmed the news yesterday, and according to Engadget, other Tesla EV owners that were double charged have also mentioned that their excess billing was already returned. The resolution to this case has already been forwarded by Tesla, with its cherry on top, the $200 gift coupon that is available for use on its online stores.
Everyday Chris Suggests to Use Cashier's Check
Everyday Chris has narrated his experience with the Tesla double charges in his YouTube vlogs, where he detailed everything that happened, including the conclusion and return of the wrong charges against them. In his recent vlog about the issue, the Tesla owner regarded that people ought to use a "cashier's check" in purchasing from the company to avoid these issues.
There is still no word from Tesla to explain what went wrong or if this incident would occur again for other customers, and the only thing they did in response was to return the money with a complimentary coupon. Tesla is known to accept EV purchase transactions via Bitcoins, debit cards, credit cards, check, and cash during this pandemic.
