Intel vs. Apple: Justin Long's Anti-M1 Ads Don't Matter Anymore, Called it 'Competitive Fun'

Intel has recently revealed via its CEO that the anti-M1 Mac advertisements under the "Go PC" campaign were all part of "competitive fun" and that it is something that is happening in the computer and technology industry. The chip-making company is on the verge of getting Apple to be its client again, but this time, produce the Silicon chip for them.

The Santa Clara chip manufacturing company is willing to be Apple's workhorse once its new factories are already established and begins the production of its next-in-line CPUs, chips, and other computer components. Intel is known for being almost 40 years in the business of chip making, only having a decline in its clients that aim to self-produce.

Now, Intel is trying to win back Apple, after having their ties cut off and discarded by the Cupertino giant as it transitioned to the ARM-based Silicon all-in-one M1, which has been met with mostly positive reviews. In comparison to the Intel-based Macs from 2019 and older, the M1 Mac is significantly holding a higher performance rate and benchmark.

Intel Wants to Manufacture Chips for Apple, Again!

Intel recently revealed its plans via its quarterly meetings and presentation for its clients and the public, with the company aiming to be back on top of the chip-making game, rivaling AMD, Apple, and Nvidia. According to Yahoo Finance's interview with Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger on Wednesday, March 24, the jabs taken against Apple were all part of what they call in the industry "competitive fun."

After everything else, Intel would still want a relationship with Apple, particularly a business and client set up where they would work on the M1 Silicon chips on their factories to supply to the technology company. The setup before where Intel's Core CPUs are still used for Mac PCs is what the company wants to revive, but this time with the M1's engineering.

Apple's long-time partner for chip development for the iPhone, iPad, and other portable technology also manufactured the M1 Silicon chip, and it is none other than Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). The company is most known for being one of the bests in the world, also being one of the largest chipmaking companies in the Asian region.

To date, Apple's long-running relationship with TSMC has birthed to the variety of its chips including the Apple M1, A14 Bionic (and lower), T2 Chips, U1 for the Apple Watch, and others. There seems to have no shreds of evidence or hints and drops from Apple, as to whether they would drop TSMC for Intel, as its dedication to M1 was vocal about leaving Intel behind.
