OnePlus 9 Event: At Least 3 Phones to be Introduced at Launch Event and LTPO Display to Make Debut

The android phones by OnePlus has a considerable number of followers, and if you wish to know the latest about the OnePlus 9 event, you are in luck as the company is set to push through with the launch of the OnePlus 9 series.

OnePlus 9 event when and where to watch

In the videos that OnePlus had posted, it is touting Fluid Display 2.0, an OLED panel, which is supposed to have a fast refresh rate while still maintaining an impressive battery life.

There is also a chance of OnePlus introducing three new models: OnePlus 9, 9 Pro and the 9R. OnePlus may also launch a new watch at the event.

So, when will the event take place? The event will happen on March 23 at 10 A.M. ET, 7 A.M. PT and 2 P.M. BST. Where can you watch the said event?

What to expect at the event

OnePlus is set to unveil the OnePlus 9 series, which is the first products from its new partnership with Hasselblad, a medium format camera maker. OnePlus is also said to unveil its first smartwatch.

The OnePlus 9 series will have at least three members: OnePlus 9, 9 Pro and 9R. As for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, there have been teaser campaigns and leaks.

OnePlus and Hasselblad signed a three year partnership and committed $150 million in R&D funds to develop better mobile camera systems.

The OnePlus 9 series will have a Natural Color Calibration system created by the legendary camera maker. The OnePlus 9 Pro mode will also feature image processing that is made by Hasselblad and will have an output 12-bit RAW images.

As for the hardware of the phone, it will come from Sony. Both OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro phones will have 48 MP Sony IMX789 image sensors for the main camera. The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will have a Digital Overlap HDR and full-pixel omnidirectional autofocus.

Both of the devices will also be able to record 4K videos at 120 fps. The ultra wide camera gets the 50MP IMX766 module, which is behind both the wide and ultra wide lenses on the Oppo Find X3 Pro.

OnePlus has decided to skip over the periscope lens for this generation. The Pro is said to have a standard telephoto lens with 3x magnification.

OnePlus will also become an adopter of LTPO panels and the AMOLED display on the OnePlus 9 Pro will be able to adjust its refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. It will be curved 1440p+ panel with 10-bit color support, which already received an amazing A+ mark from DisplayMate.

The panel will have low touch latency too, thanks to a high touch sampling rate. The unofficial info points to a 6.78-inch curved display with 1440p+ resolution. The Always on Display will save power by throttling down to 1 Hz.

As for the OnePlus 9, there is not official info yet, but it is expected to have 6.55-inch 1080p+ panel with 120 Hz refresh rate.

The OnePlus 9 Pro will support 65W wires charging, which can fill the battery from zero to 100% in just 29 minutes. The company will also launch a new 50W wireless charger that can accomplish the same task in 43 minutes.
