A fitness tracker helped its user catch her cheating boyfriend. Right now, many people are finding ways on how to catch their unloyal partners.
Yahoo Life reported that most of the time, individuals catch their cheating partners via emails, text messages, and social media platforms, especially if they already disclosed their passwords with one another. And now, a user revealed that you could also use your fitness tracker to see what your partner is up to.
Nadia Essex, a British reality TV host, said that she caught her partner cheating on her after a fitness tracker revealed unusual activity levels very early in the morning. She described her experience in a TikTok video, which was also posted by the YouTube channel Mini Entertainment. Right now, the video already received more than 40,000 views.
If you are also curious, here's how her fitness tracker informed the TV host that her boyfriend is an unloyal partner.
Fitness tracker as a cheater catcher?
Some people might find her story a little funny. But, this just shows that technology could help various people find things that they really need to know about.
"One night, when my ex-boyfriend came from a night out, I woke up in the morning and thought Let me make him some breakfast," explained Essex.
"Then I got a notification on my Fitbit-the Fitbit that we'd synced together-that between 2 o'clock and 3 o'clock in the morning he had burned more than 500 calories," she added.
Her Fitbit app notified the TV host that her boyfriend is doing some heavy activities at 2:00 a.m., which is quite weird since this is an unusual time to do some serious exercises.
She also explained that their fitness trackers are synced, allowing her to get notifications whenever her partner does some physical activities.
