Statham often interacts with other players in her chatroom, reacting to every loss and victory and making friends along the way. Just like other gamers, she goes online for 4 to 5 hours a day as she plays with her online friends while her fans watch along.

In an interview with NBC News, Statham admits that she doesn't know a lot of women her age who plays "Call of Duty," a popular first-person shooter game in which she fights with a team on a virtual battlefield.

Statham caught the gaming community's attention with her alias TacticalGramma, and she gained fans as one of the oldest female video game streamers, according to Yahoo News.

The world of video game streaming involves people broadcasting themselves playing and reacting to video games online. The community grew over the past few years, especially among the younger people on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.

Although the community is open to everyone, it mostly attracts young males. This is why Statham stood out when she joined in. Even though she has a smaller following than some of the biggest game streamers, she has had some of her highlights go viral on TikTok.

Due to her viral TikTok video, Statham immediately got 300,000 followers in the last three weeks.

Statham's session

A typical Statham session features her playing with friends, usually other female streamers, and talking to her followers in the live chat.

Statham then thanks those who donate, and she answers questions about her stream. Most of the screen is of the game being played, with a small rectangle that is fed by a camera focused on her face.

Statham is not the only older person that plays video games or streams. The AARP, formerly known as the American Association of Retired Persons, has found that older people are now leaning into gaming, with a 2019 survey finding that 44% of Americans over the age of 50 play at least once a month.

The biggest difference is the tone of the stream because numerous streamers tend to embrace positivity, good vibes, funny moments, and kindness. Statham's stream is wholesome, according to Good World News.

Statham said that she has a connection with so many of her followers as they check in on each other. She also said that her followers and friends that she streams with do not know what to expect, but for her, that is the best part of it.

Sherrie Drepaul, also known as Snooty Wizard, streams with Statham, said that Statham makes you see the brighter side of things. She added that gaming can be competitive, and when you are playing games with Statham, it is wholesome and fun.

Aside from making gaming fun and less competitive, Drepaul also said that Statham makes streaming a more inclusive space for women and for older people.
