Disney+ Down! 'Wandavision' Finale to Blame? How to Fix Error Code 39

Disney+ users are currently experiencing some technical issues. Reports confirmed that the service outage is caused by the vast numbers of fans who are watching the popular finale of "Wandavision."

An unstable connection could also be one of the main reasons. The error also shows that the finale of Wandavision is one of the most awaited shows right now since huge numbers of fans really rushed to watch the last episode.

It was also explained that the users were awaiting the finale and want to watch it first before others to avoid spoilers, which is rampant in different "Marvel" films and series. Although Disney+ already knows that the fans would go crazy to watch it, the popular streaming platform still aired the "Wandavision" finale.

How to fix ERROR CODE 39

Life Wire provided possible methods of fixing the current ERROR CODE 39 of Disney+. Here are some of them you can use. But, they are not 100% effective. Although this is the case, they are still worth the try;

  • Switch to a different HDMI port. Using the streaming device that generated the error code 39, switch to a different HDMI port on your television. Try each port and see if any of them work. If one does work, that means the handshake was successful on that port. Leave your streaming device connected, and it should work fine.
  • Try a different television. If you have a second television, check to see if you see the same error code when using it. Some older televisions don't support a new enough version of HDMI for secure connections, which can cause this type of error.
  • Make sure you're using an HDMI to HDMI cable. If you're using any kind of HDMI converter cable, like an HDMI to VGA cable, that can cause this problem. Switch to a standard HDMI cable that has HDMI connectors on both ends, and plug it directly into an HDMI port on your television, monitor, or projector.
