It's been two days since Bloomberg's news came in about Nintendo Switch's planned development of an Upgraded Switch Model this 2021.
The internet has created countless articles about it, but what does Nintendo actually say about all this?
Rumors Came Out From a Specific Source.
Bloomberg's report tells us about the new models being equipped with 720p 7-Inch OLED screens and is currently undergoing mass production. The information included talks about the 4K UHD graphics performance of the new Switch when linked to a local PC.
All these upgrades are in hopes of granting Switch better sails against PS5 and Xbox series consoles.
From a post in ResetEra, the insider claimed the upgraded console utilizes NVIDIA DLSS technology to support the 4k functionality.
In December 2020, Doug Bowser, Nintendo America President, mentions that the company is always looking for ways to improve its products.
However, Polygon reports the statement of Shuntaro Furukawa, Nintendo's President, rejects these rumors by saying Nintendo company will not be conceptualizing new Switch model lineup "anytime soon."
Still, this isn't the first time Nintendo denies the existence of upgraded Switch models. Engadget records last year's Switch Pro rumors being denied shortly before the company released a Switch model with longer battery lives.
The internet is going nuts with the rumors on this so-called Switch Pro. Concept designs are being speculated. Here is a tweet that shows one:
Public opinion talks strongly about Nintendo Switch's performance in handheld mode. Some of the public was outraged to hear the upgrade at 720p when it could have been pushed to 1080p. A popular tweet by Jeff Grub clearly explains the benefit of a smaller 720p.
Conclusively, the resolution would be greatly enhanced, especially on a 720p smaller screen. The eye would not see the difference of these pixel densities in a handheld size. Instead of overloading the battery life with a high pixel density performance that you could barely notice, Nintendo objectively took the better route by conserving the battery and enhancing FPS performance at 720p.
So What's Going To Happen Next?
Upgrading Nintendo Switch would be perfect for 2021 with the upcoming games scheduled to be released this year, such as "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2," "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword," and the new "Monster Hunter Rise," dated for Mar. 26.
These new games might be the game-changer of the market. With all the teasers and anticipation of the incoming games, players wait in queue for their release. So, what better gaming console do you launch with these games?
Pairing these two in the market, you can enjoy your gaming at ultimate performance. With all its rumored features and upgrades, Nintendo Switch will definitely take the first-party games to a whole new level of gaming experience. The hype train for this combined demand is expected to surpass all of last year's average sales.
Up-to-date, the official information remains in the dark. Nintendo has not confirmed the production and market release of the fabled Switch Pro.
