Elon Musk SpaceX SN10 Starship Aims to Land with 'Pull Up Method'; How and When to Watch

SpaceX would soon attempt to fly its latest stainless steel spacecraft called the SN10 Starship on its Boca Chica launch facility in Texas and aims to land using the "Pull Up Method" to avoid explosion like the first two.

The Starship lineup of rockets is specifically designed to withstand rigorous conditions in transporting humans to the neighboring planet, Mars.

Initially, the SN8 was at the forefront of SpaceX's Starship program and has test-launched last year, debuting the "Belly Flop Method" which free falls horizontally before pulling up at the last second and engaging thrusters to control its return. However, the company's attempt has resulted in an explosion because of uncontrolled fuel tank overflow, trashing the SN8.

The company has attempted the next one, and it is the slightly bigger and modified SN9 Starship which was optimistic, the spacecraft that would nail the landing better than SN8's "successful" attempt. However, it also suffers the same conclusion of exploding to bits, despite its static fire tests all going in SpaceX's favor during testing.

SpaceX SN10 Starship Test Launch

The third rocket of the Starship series has already finished all the prior tests and preparations it needs to start the launch that is scheduled for March 3, Wednesday, which has already evacuated the Boca Chica village nearby. Initially, Texas was not much of a fan of SpaceX's test flights, as the company was delayed by the FAA for several moments with the SN9.

The third full-scale rocket of SpaceX is now ready and standing on its launch pad, and in a few hours, it would be up for its test launch that would propel the spacecraft for almost near the Earth's Stratosphere. This would test out the company's spacecraft and its capabilities to stick the landing, now that it would use the triple engine approach.

With SpaceX's SN8 and SN9, the company shuts off one or two engines and only uses a low capacity of its power to avoid explosions and hazards with its Raptor engines. However, it seems that the company is aiming to test the odds and utilize all Raptor engines as it powers down and prepares to land while decreasing its velocity as it nears the ground.

SpaceX SN10 is Clear for Wednesday Launch: How to Watch

According to weather forecasts and predictions, SpaceX's SN10 is clear for its launch on Wednesday, Mar. 3, and would be seeing clear skies and good weather to test out its rockets and flight capabilities. Moreover, SpaceX has recently swapped out its faulty Raptor engine for the Starship as reported by Teslarati, in preparation for its triple engine landing.

SpaceX is inviting people to watch its launch virtually, and as per usual, it would go on a live stream on either the company's Live Website or YouTube live stream two hours before the actual launch of the company. Other social media accounts are also debuting the preview of the launch including Twitter and Facebook.
