Moonbug Entertainment's top hit children's channel Cocomelon was the latest victim of popular YouTube streamer PewDiePie's diss track. But, YouTube immediately took down the video from the Swedish celebrity's channel due to its cyberbullying violation and child safety.

YouTube Removes PewDiePie's Diss Track

The video started with Felix Kjellberg, or PewDiePie for short, sitting in a couch while talking to the children. After a few moments, it will be seen in the track that Kjellberg made fun of the kids who love watching Cocomelon. However, the severity of the video's impacts on the younger audiences could be detrimental especially if they are using YouTube without the supervision of their parents or guardians.

Several vulgar words were also used in the video including "motherf*cking virgins" and "f*ck you" which are not suitable to be heard by the minors. Kjellberg appeared to be enjoying his moment with the kids but some people found it inappropriate so YouTube took the matter into its own hands. At the end of the video, PewDiePie gave the children a few plastic weapons to the children which were used to strike a melon - a representation of the kid's channel.

Due to many violations involving children's participation in the video, YouTube decided to delete the video because it only encourages unlawful behavior not only for the young audience but to the entire YouTube community. It also crossed the line of YouTube's policy about harassment created by the channel content producer.

YouTube added that diss tracks were allowed to operate across all channels given that they will not violate the company's standards. Moreover, if PewDiePie continues to release diss contents that trigger illicit remarks, the next thing that could happen is to take Kjellberg's channel down.

In the video, PewDiePiece mentioned that he did not actually care about the kid's channel. He continued that it would not be funny anymore if he continued with the video.

In an interview with The Verge, a spokesperson from the video-sharing platform said that YouTube does not allow repeated attacks involving harassment even outside of the channel.

"Following a review, we've removed the video in question for violating those policies because they had the effect of encouraging abusive fan behavior," a representative from YouTube said.

Furthermore, the company was also aware of the video reuploading that happens. For this matter, YouTube said on Twitter that they will also remove them so they could now get in touch anymore with the children. Over the past years, the company has been aggressive in flagging harmful content which involves abuse, sex, and actions that could ignite violence.

Why PewDiePie Targeted Cocomelon In His Diss Track?

Kjellberg could possibly notice the rise of Cocomelon's popularity across YouTube. It's no wonder that envy in the number of subscribers could be one of the reasons why the YouTube star released the video. It was in June last year when PewDiePie recognized that the channel has been catching up when it comes to its followers.

Before it reached over 105 million subscribers this year, Kjellberg said on February 8 that he would make a diss track about Cocomelon. A week later after the announcement, he posted it on his channel before being taken down by YouTube.

PewDiePie's diss tracks were not new anymore to YouTube. Kjellberg created a diss track entitled "B*tch Lasagna" in 2018, which was aimed at T-Series, the rising Indian Bollywood studio at the time. It all began when the Indian channel surpassed Kjellberg's subscribers and fans noticed the slight difference.

T-Series said that the diss track released by Kjellberg involves racist and vulgar remarks so it ordered to ban the video in India, Tube Filter reported.

Since the video was removed, several reuploads have appeared. Below is the video of the diss track. Just a friendly reminder to watch this at your own risk.
