Xiaomi's latest flagship phone, Mi M11, was released in December 2020, and now, the rumor mill is going around, saying that three more variants of the M11 device are coming soon, with a bigger M11 Pro and M11 Ultra and apparently even an M11 Lite.
Xiaomi Mi M11 Lite Render
Seemingly confirming the rumors are the leaked renders for the phones, but the new models haven't been confirmed by the company yet, so take the news with a grain of salt.
According to GizChina, the M11 Lite render appeared on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform.
Based on the images circulating online, the back part of the device is almost a replica of the flagship device, complete with the vertical Xiaomi brand logo, and a big square cutout for the device's triple camera system.
In the front, the rendered image for M11 Lite reveals a punch-hole design for the front-facing camera at the top left portion of the screen, which is said to have a 120Hz refresh rate.
But perhaps the biggest difference with the standard Xiaomi Mi M11 is the flatter LCD screen.
Specs Leaked As Well
Besides the rendered images, the specs for the Xiaomi M11 Lite has also been leaked, and according to the BIS certification, the variant will come with 6GB of RAM and two choices for the storage, specifically 64GB and 128GB, plus a 4,150mAh battery capacity
Under the hood, the M11 Lite version is expected to run on Snapdragon 732G chipset, with a 64MP main camera, 8MP super wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro/depth shooter.
Nevertheless, there are still conflicting reports with the M11 Lite's specs as the enthusiasts are still waiting for official news from the company itself.
Xiaomi Mi M11 Ultra Render
Meanwhile, renders for the M11 Ultra have also been shared online by a popular designer, according to NotebookCheck, which shows a stylish design and an innovative rear second screen, but also appears to be downplaying the bumpy back camera setting.
Just last week on Feb. 12, a video shows a hands-on look at the M11 Ultra that gave enthusiasts a better look at the device, including the giant bump on the back that houses the devices camera lenses, which many found rather annoying, given the smartphone's otherwise sleek look.
Indeed, the renders tried to give off exactly that vibe, giving no side profiles and focusing on the back design of the device and its selling point: the rear second screen.
According to Digital Chat Station, a notable leaker, there should be at least a couple more smartphone brands that will feature a rear second screen, but there were no mentions of manufacturers who will be following Xiaomi.
Although there have been double-screened smartphones in the past, such as the Nubia X, the trend seemed to die down.
However, if the M11 Ultra does indeed have the second rear screen and it's received well, the trend might come back and we might see more of these types of devices in the future.
