A new iPad Pro model is rumored to drop this year. Aside from the speculated release date, insiders also added that the price of the new iPad is over $1,000. There will be massive changes in the features of the new iPad.
iPad Pro release date
The new iPad Pro is expected to be revealed in March 2021, like the updates in 2020. This date has not been released by Apple, but it was leaked by the Japanese news site Macotakara.
March is usually the month that Apple releases its new products. The company is known to release iPads since March 2016. The more recent one was iPad Pro, which added the LiDAR camera and the A12Z Bionic processor.
iPad Pro price
Expect the pricing of the 11-inch iPad Pro to be around $750 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro to be around $999. The last two generations of iPad Pro tablets stuck to this price, and it is possible this trend will continue.

The introduction of the mid-range iPad Air gives the company no other reason to lower the price of the new iPad Pro. Apple does not seem to be adding much in its iPad Pro this year as this will push them to charge more for it.
iPad Pro rumors
The rumors about the iPad Pro 2021 hints that Apple is focusing on the tablet's internal components. Since 2020, fans of the Apple product has seen speculation that the iPad Pro will be the first of Apple's iPads equipped with 5G. Now that 5G is in the iPhone 12, it is logical that Apple would want to use it in its new product too.
According to case-maker publisher Pigtou, which mostly focuses on the renders of the iPad Pro, there is more chatter of internal upgrades.
The post stated that there is a possibility that the new iPad Pro may rock a version of the Apple Silicon chip seen in the MacBook Air with M1. Apple could also just go with an upgraded version of the A12Z chip in the current iPad Pro and name it the A13Z.
MacOtakara also reports that Apple is leaving most of the new iPad Pro housing design unchanged. This means that fans should expect it to look like the previous iPad Pro, just with a bit of adjustments like slimmer bezels and fewer speaker holes. Also, the camera bump may protrude less.
The new iPad Pro design has a lot of similarities between iPad Pros released in 2020 and iPad Pro released in 2021, according to Tom's Guide.
The 12.9 inch iPad Pro 2021 will be thicker by 0.5 mm, which may be difficult for those who are not used to this type of device. This adjustment could let Apple replace its current display technology for mini-LED screens.
The new iPad Pro has been rumored to be going into production with mini-LED panels since 2020. This change would move Apple away from LCD displays and have improved contrast ratios, black tones and better brightness. This would also be possible due to smaller LEDs.
Patents also suggest that Apple may be considering a new Magic Keyboard, as a close reading of the patents suggests that the Magic Keyboard could have microphones, which could be helpful for better audio when the iPad Pro is used for video conferencing.
