It was first discovered in the United Kingdom. But, it got worst after medical researchers and other health authorities confirmed that some countries also have new virus strains.

Mayo Clinic, a health agency that is located in Minnesota, Florida, Arizona, and London, provided the list of new COVID-19 strain symptoms that need quick medical actions or attention;

  • New confusion
  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent chest pain or pressure
  • Blue lips or face
  • Inability to stay awake

"If you have emergency COVID-19 signs and symptoms, seek care immediately," said the health agency via Express UK.

"Let your doctor know if you have other chronic medical conditions, such as heart disease or lung disease," it added.

What you need to do

If you have these symptoms, it is advisable that you immediately get a test to check for possible coronavirus infection. You and your family need to quarantine and prevent seeing other people or inviting visitors to your house. If you go out with your friends or other people, they also need to stay at home.
You can also treat yourself if it is not that severe. Here are other things you can do to help yourself recover;

  • Drink plenty of fluids (water is best) to avoid dehydration - drink enough so your pee is light yellow and clear
  • Get lots of rest
  • Take paracetamol or ibuprofen if you feel uncomfortable
