Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) has partnered with IKEA to bring gaming furniture of all kinds to gamers who want to DIY build a gaming corner as part of their home setup, with over 30 types of products available. The gaming range of IKEA was manufactured in IKEA China and would first be available on IKEA Japan by May, and October for the rest of the world.
Gaming chairs, tables, side tables, mounts, etc., you name it, IKEA has got them all and the collaboration with Asus ROG makes it better as it focuses on the needs and wants of every starting gamers on a budget. The collaboration between the two is making gaming equipment available to everyone, despite starting and wants to build their setups.
IKEA is popular for its do-it-yourself and self-assembly home furniture, which has been popular across the world, from its home country of Sweden. The Swedish furniture retail company has been in the business for almost 80 years now, and it has transitioned to the easily known language of the 21st century and the new generation, gaming.
ASUS ROG, IKEA Collaboration: Gaming Furniture of 2021
According to IKEA, the new furniture that would soon be released by the company aims to put "gaming first" because home gaming rigs have been overlooked by the industry and were not given many options. Moreover, the gaming furniture line of the company would be addressing the 2.5 billion gamers across the world, which has officially launched in IKEA China last January 29.
IKEA has also announced its collaboration with Taiwanese computer electronics manufacturing company, ASUS, particularly its subsidiary division that focuses on gaming and e-sports, the Republic of Gamers (ROG). The Swedish company considers gaming as more than a "past-time" and more of a lifestyle that takes people to another world.
Moreover, IKEA regards gaming as another form of social experience and connection from people worldwide, saying that gaming should also be considered to be fitted with the right equipment and furniture. The ASUS ROG and IKEA collaboration would bring "the best of both worlds," with gaming and home furniture use combined into one.
ASUS ROG IKEA Collaboration: Gaming Furniture Variants
According to Furniture Today, IKEA would be collaborating with ASUS ROG with the UPPSPEL variant of the gaming furniture that would be available by October 2021 in the rest of the world. It would also include accessories like mug holders, neck pillows, ring lights mouse bungee, headset stands, etc.
IKEA aims to delight home gamers with affordable and easy-to-use gaming equipment for all their needs and comforts with setups at the comforts of one's house. The Swedish company would also want to diversify gaming equipment which is said to be viewed as a "masculine" design, which in reality, is composed of 46 percent women.
The gaming equipment and furniture of IKEA are distributed into six different variants namely HUVUDSPELARE, UTESPELARE, MATCHSPEL, GRUPPSPEL, UPPSPEL, and LÅNESPELARE.
