'Slay the Spire' Android Mobile Arrives: Deck-Building Roguelike Game for $10

After initially launching for the PC and other consoles back in 2019 and also landing on the iOS just last June, "Slay the Spire" will finally be available for Android devices! The game is already available to download and optimized for the Android devices.

Players will be able to find the game on the official Google Play Store for the price of just $9.99. Although it was initially released on the PC as some sort of early access title all the way back in 2017, the full launch still did not come until some time in 2019. Humble Games then brought the popular deck-building tower climbing action to the mobile device world by initially launching on the iOS back in 2020.

Why is 'Slay the Spire' so good?

According to an article by The Gamer, the game was first released on the iOS leaving Android players left alone in the dark. Finally, after a couple of months of silence, it was recently announced that "Slay the Spire" was finally heading to the Android on February 3.

For those that still are not familiar with this particular title, "Slay the Spire" is said to be a deck-building roguelike game that allows players to tackle wave after wave of certain increasingly difficult enemies. Along that path, players will be able to gather some new items, to level up some abilities, and also to create a power hand of different cards that will then hopefully bring players further along into the tower compared to their previous fun.

Is it possible to beat 'Slay the Spire'?

"Slay the Spire" has already earned rave reviews coming from a lot of critics and as of March 2019, the game had already been able to sell a whopping 1.5 million copies. Due to the numbers showing just how many people were buying this particular game, the article by The Gamer notes that there is clearly a strong market for certain challenging roguelike games, and its official release on Android will be able to finally bring the action to a whole new audience. While the game is definitely hard, there are still some reported gamers that have been able to beat the game itself.

For those gamers that would rather plop down along with a more traditional game, there's also something in store for them. "Slay the Spire" is also getting its very own official board game release. This will reportedly be a massive 1-4 player cooperative adventure and this would be a radical departure coming from the game's very popular single-player premise.

At any rate, the game is now finally available on the Google Play Store which has been about eight months ever since it was initially released on the Apple iOS. According to an article by AndroidPolice, there are a lot of reviews available for the older game that was released on the PC and other consoles but obviously, players will have to immerse themselves into the Android game before there can be a solid conclusion as to just exactly how the game fairs on mobile devices.
