Will Xpeng P7 prove that it is better than Tesla's Model 3 electric car? According to New Atlas latest report, Model 3's rival receives new updates that provide it with decent performance, impressive battery ranges, and a nice sleek design.

However, every good thing has a price since the electric vehicle is expected to have an expensive price starting at $32,000. XPeng P7 also has a Premium version that is capable of running the company's XPILOT 3.0 software through Nvidia Drive AGX Xavier self computers. But, this model will cost aroud $40,000.

How good is XPeng P7?

When the company launched XPeng P7, the test revealed that it can perform lane-keeping even through tight curves, adaptive cruise, navigation-guided highway autopilot, traffic light recognition, and even self-parking ability.

XPeng P7's dash display can also show what it is seeing outside when it is self-driving, just like Tesla Model 3. This feature allows the driver to have a peaceful mind since they are not missing anything that is happening outside the road.

The EV's surrounding reality" display shows a top-down 360-degree surround view from the cameras. These include safety warnings, speed limits, vehicles, and other data overlaid on it.

P7 also received new driver-assist warnings for rear and forward collisions, cross-traffic, and lane departures. This will keep you safe as you reverse. The new vehicle also has door opening warnings to avoid creating an accident with motorcycle riders and cyclists.

Is it better than Tesla Model 3?

As of the moment, it is still early to tell if XPeng P7 can match Tesla's Model 3 let alone claim that it is better. However, there is no denying that Tesla's competitor is really providing great features that will surely get the attention of many consumers.

It is important to remember that XPeng P7's NGP is specifically developed and optimized for Chinese road conditions. On the other hand, Tesla's NGP is optimized for U.S. road conditions. This means that XPeng P7 would perform less if it is outside of China, the same goes with Tesla.

Experts explained that NGP must be optimized for the environment it will be used. On the other hand, Inside EVs reported that XPeng developers admitted that Tesla still has the advantage since they are still working on their P7's improvements.
