Apple's new venture into a their own ARM based Processor with the M1 chip has not been a smooth ride so far. Users have found that only natively-run applications by Apple can be accessible in M1 devices. To address this issue, Apple has allowed sideloading of iOS apps using software like iMazing. However, recent news according to Tomsguide reports that now, Apple has disabled the sideloading of iOS apps.
Those who have purchased Apple's M1 Macbooks and M1 Mac Mini may have experienced the advantages of having Apple Silicon by being able to run apps for iOS devices, but it has been a struggle for software intended for Intel processors.
Apple Blocks Sideloading Software like iMazing
The initial launch of software like iMazing was a just a band aid solution to the problem. Now, Apple has disabled it according to 9to5Mac, employing a "walled garden" approach. As a result, non-native apps to Apple can still be installed, but only through a very risky jailbreak system, as reported by TomsGuide. Employing these methods may harm the internal system of the desktop. Thus, it is not necessarily a recommended option for users.
Once these sideloading apps are installed again, a prompt appears. "This application cannot be installed because the developer did not intend for it to run on this platform." this new change affects both the macOS Big Sur 11.1 and the Big Sur 11.2, which is the developer version. Downloaded apps using software like iMazing is still running in iOS. However, new downloads will not be possible at the moment. So if you have these applications, make sure not to uninstall them.

Huge Applications No Longer Available for Apple's Silicon Chip
This also means that big applications like Instagram, Facebook, and Netflix will not be available for downloads anymore using third-party software. Previously, they could be sideloaded to the computer. Using this third-party software, users can still enjoy the comfort of M1 speed with apps that are compatible with the Intel version
This new move by Apple makes the whole experience again inaccessible to users. It's undeniable that the first launch of the Apple M1 Chip was a triumph. They definitely made it against Core i3 and i5 processors. M1 has been the most impressive so far, but it doesn't come without cost.
The tradeoff currently is inaccessibility for the sake of a superb processor. Apple promises to improve accessibility to different apps with the launch of their next updates. Apple still hasn't released a statement on what they will be offering as a sideload option or whether they will.
