Recently, on Wednesday, a particular move was made by Belkin to recall the Portable Wireless Charger + Stand Special Edition WIZ003 for certain iPhones due to both fire and shock hazards. This was according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission or US CPSC.

According to an article by CNet, the particular power bank as well as the charging stand both combined was then sold exclusively by both Apple and Belkin over from July up to October of 2020 for the price of just $80. Luckily, it was reported that only 2,280 units were sold.

The news was first reported by The Verge which revealed that Belkin is indeed recalling these particular 2-in-1 charger deals. It is important to note that these are not the only wireless chargers out there. This means that for users to get a refund, they should first make sure that the charger that they purchased is indeed included in Belkin's list of defective chargers.

If the serial number of the charger is found to be different in comparison to the serial number that is shown in the list, chances are users will have a hard time asking for a refund. Also, it was only those particular serial numbers that were found not to be working while the others still passed quality inspection.
