Honor, a former Huawei sub-brand that has just recently gone independent has recently confirmed that it will now be hosting an event that is said to unveil the new flagship Honor V40 smartphone series come January 18 in China. The company has officially posted the first teaser for the upcoming Honor V40 on social media.

The teaser stated that the new Honor V40 will be equipped with a high-tech ultra-sensitive screen capable of displaying up to a billion colors! According to the story reported by Gizchina, the new smartphone will have a curved edge screen and even a cutout located in the upper left corner in order for it to accommodate two different camera sensors.

The device is also expected to support 120Hz refresh rate on a 6.72-inch OLED panel. There will also be a fingerprint scanner that is built under the main surface of the phone's screen. This device will also reportedly run the new MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC along with 5G support.
The upcoming smartphone will also be sporting 8GB of power from the LPDDR4x RAM and have a 128 or 256 GB flash memory of UFS 2.1. The previous image has confirmed that the phone's main camera sensor will be rocking a resolution of 50MP. The upcoming Honor V40 will also be supporting 66W wired fast charging as well as 45W of wireless charging. The device will also run the Android 11 OS along with its very own Magic UI 4.0 user interface.

The upcoming Honor V40 is also expected to have 2676x1236 pixel resolution as well as a 120Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC will be powering the Honor V40. In optics, the Honor V40 will pack a quad-camera setup located at the back. This will include the mentioned primary camera at 50MP, 8MP ultra wide angle camera, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera.
Honor V40, Honor V40 Pro, Honor V40 Pro+
The Honor V40 series will reportedly come in three different models namely the Honor V40, the Honor V40 Pro, and also the Honor V40 Pro+. There are also a lot of leaks as well as reports coming that are related to the Honor V40 series. Just recently, the new Honor V40 that came with model number Honor YOK-AN10 was spotted on GeekBench according to an article by GSMArena.
In the GeekBench listing, it was found that the Honor V40 was getting 468 points in a certain single-core testing and also a whopping 2061 points in the multi-core testing. According to the given listing, the new smartphone pairs 8GB of Ram and also runs on the Android 10. The upcoming Honor V40 is said to run an octa-core Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. The new smartphone will also be able to sport 5G support.
Rheinland's certificate
Just recently, the new smartphone has also passed through Rheinland's safe fast-charging certification along with the same model number. The Rheinland's certificate notes the Honor V40 capable of 50W support for wireless fast charging.
