Sony's PlayStation 5 looks good in white, together with its advanced design. However, it might look better if it is in color black.
The console's die-hard fans have been asking the maker to release a black version of the popular gaming gadget. Rumors claim that the players may have what they are longing for since Sony decided to release a PS2-themed black PS5.
TechRadar reported that the A black retro-inspired PS5 console and DualSense controller are expected to go on sale this coming Jan. 8. On the other hand, its shipping is scheduled for late spring 2021.
The new design is based on the previous PS2 version, which is still the best-selling PlayStation console as of the moment. The old version currently has 155 million units sold across the globe.
What will it look like?
Based on SlashGear's images, the only difference made by Sony is the color itself. Unlike other consoles that come with gold plating and diamond chips, which cost thousands of dollars, the new PS5 will only be a retro-inspired version.
Rumors claimed that the new version will cost $649 when it comes in Spring this year of 2021. However, those who are interested need to remember that the new console is still in its unauthorized special edition iteration. This means that the new PS5 will not cover any kind of warranty.
The DualSense controller is also expected to be under no warranty. This also means that if you buy it, then you'll be risking $649. However, it is still a great gamble since the new gaming gadget really looks great.
Is there a high chance you can get it?
The new black PS5 is really an exciting purchase to make. However, many people might not have enough luck to get their hands on one. Why? Because Sony is only planning to produce 304 units.
SUP3R5's official Twitter account confirmed that the preorder time will be at 3 p.m. EST / 12 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. BST on Jan. 8. This means that those who want to get the new black console will have to set a reminder on their smartphones or laptops.
