The hyped up launch of the "Cyberpunk 2077" game has been quite rough on all of the platforms, especially those owners of the previous generation consoles like the PS4 and the Xbox One. CD Projekt Red apologized just a few days ago and encouraged those disappointed with the game to ask for refunds if they did not want to wait around for the patch.
'Cyberpunk 2077' PS4 performance
According to an article by Engadget, Sony takes an unprecedented step of pulling out the "Cyberpunk 2077" PS4 version from its known digital store. The official statement said that they will be offering full refunds for every gamer that has purchased the game from its PlayStation store.
This might even apply to those that are playing the game on their PS5 as well, where the game reportedly runs a little bit better, but still in the backwards compatibility mode. As of the moment, the segment on the game's official store page shows that the release date is yet to be determined.
How to get 'Cyberpunk 2077' refund?
A Twitter statement that was released this week by CD Projekt Red recommends people to use the refund programs on both PlayStation and Xbox stores for the purchased digital copies. The buyers can also go to their own retailer of choice in order to refund a physical copy. It was also stated that buyers can contact the helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com email address through December 21 in order to ask for assistance. The information regarding the refund was reported by CNN.
'Cyberpunk 2077' PlayStation refund
Sony has previously stated that it will be removing "Cyberpunk 2077" from its PlayStation Stores and while some players wanted refunds in the past, they were reportedly refused of these and told to wait until further notice. For those that bought the digital copy of "Cyberpunk 2077" on the Xbox One, the Xbox Series X, or even the Xbox Series X, the refund is only available 14 days after the purchase. Microsoft notes that submitting a request for refund won't 100% guarantee it. Click here.

For those that purchased "Cyberpunk 2077" on Steam, even for the PC, the refund can be requested within 14 days of buying the game. The refund is also reportedly offering refunds to those that have played "fewer than two hours" of the game. However, the company noted that it might consider the request for "Cyberpunk 2077" refund. The official return policy of GameStop says that its buyers can return the "Cyberpunk 2077" game within 30 days of its purchase for a full refund if it is still in its original packaging. For those that have opened the game, they will be given seven days to return it according to the return policy.
