The PS5 system December 2020 update details is something that Sony has just recently rolled out, the company has released an even more sophisticated update that tackles an improved system performance, Wi-Fi fixes, DualSense controller, other PS4 improvements, and a few more to keep fans interested. This, of course, is for those that were lucky enough to get the PlayStation 5 as stocks are extremely hard to get as of the moment.

According to an article by RealSports101, the PS5 has launched for almost a month now and has reportedly become a huge success for the company as stocks are instantly sold out. Particular games just like"Demon's Souls", "Miles Morales", "Godfall", and even "Black Ops Cold War" were able to give Sony a massive head start straight out of the gate.

PS5 system December 2020 update details:

The new system update for Sony's PS5 is now reportedly live! The update is said to be a 20.02-02.30 update which also includes another update for the given DualSense Controller. The update is said to be a massive 868MB update. Sony, however, did not specifically state what the update is for.

The update simply specifies that the new PS5 system software update will significantly "improve system performance." Although this update was not specifically explained in detail, there are a few details regarding the PS5 patch update that have been announced.

  • Is said to improve the system performance.

  • Is said to solve particular issues where data transfers as well as downloads were cancelled. This issue reportedly occurs when users try to download content while a particular data transfer coming from the PS4 is in progress.

  • Is said to improve the connection stability for a few Wi-Fi routers.

PS5 DualSense Update

Another update was rolled out for the said PS5 DualSense controller.

The update simply states that it is a new version of the current wireless controller device software. The console does not need to restart for this particular update.

Sony, however, hasn't released any further information regarding what specifically is being updated within the controller. However, with the number of features available on the DualSense controller, it is reportedly quite understandable that Sony will oftentimes be tweaking this particular controller.

In order to update PS5, all users need to do is log in to their PlayStation 5, and the update will automatically appear, if not, players will have to do this manually. There is no need to worry since the update is reportedly easy to do.

According to the official PlayStation website, in order to update the system. Gamers will have to follow a really simple process. The process won't need any deep computer skills since it is really a simple click, click, click.
