The biggest award-show for video games and video game developers is arriving soon, but before The Game Awards 2020 on December 10, the voting period has opened for players to choose their favorite game of the year.
The Game Awards player's voices voting for 2020
According to ScreenRant, The Game Awards 2020 has opened its player's voices voting for 2020, which means people around the world can sign in on their website and vote for their favorite games.
There will be different rounds, with the first round featuring 30 different titles, including the breakout game "Genshin Impact" from miHoYo, which recently won Best Game of 2020 from Google Play's annual awards, as well as Apple's iPhone Game of the Year.
Players can choose up to ten video games of their choice, and by this Friday, December 4, the bottom 20 games that received the least numbers of votes will be eliminated.
After that, round two of voting will begin, where players will have to choose between the remaining ten games.
There will also be another elimination and then another round, which will finally determine the best game of 2020 based on players' votes.

How to vote
Those who want to join will have to sign up and create an account on the official website of The Game Awards and then log in for their votes to be counted, plus they can also track the number of votes of the featured games.
The winning game will also receive an award from The Game Awards.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the awards show will be done virtually, but according to producer Geoff Keighley, the show will include "playable first-look demos" of games that haven't been released yet, according to VG247.
Last year's The Game Awards had the same feature when 12 upcoming games had playable demos via Steam, but this time around, players from various platforms such as PC, consoles, and even mobile can take part in the demos.
Furthermore, running alongside the awards show itself is The Game Awards Sale, with games for consoles and PC getting discounted.
Game announcements
There are tons more other events happening during The Game Awards, such as a variety of big game announcements, like the new map on popular mobile and PC game "Among Us" and the guest appearance of Tom Holland, who will be playing the main role for the "Uncharted" live-action movie adaptation.
Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is also expected to make an appearance.
There will also be trailers, several game reveals, and first-looks of highly-anticipated game titles, and probably a few other surprises along the way, something that The Game Awards is known for.
Of course, notable games will be awarded this year, as well as the people behind them.
Among the nominated games for the coveted Game of the Year award are "DOOM Eternal," "The Last of Us Part 2," "Hades," "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," "Ghost of Tsushima," and "Final Fantasy VII Remake."
There are several other categories, including best indie games, best mobile games, and best multiplayer games.
