Online retailers and official stores have raised a lot of revenue since the global COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing. Many people are choosing to go online since governments are still implementing restrictions in the public.

Unlike Black Friday, Cyber Monday is really about online shopping. In fact, many retailers already limited their Black Friday offers to prevent people from going outside.

To help you on your Cyber Monday shopping spree, here are some things you need to avoid:

Cyber Monday's common mistakes

According to CNBC, one of the common errors that people are doing is buying things for the sake of a sale. Priya Raghubir, a marketing professor at New York University's Stern School of Business, explained that people are really intrigued with Cyber Monday because of three components. These are the depth of discounts, limited time offer, and an event that happens once a year.

However, she explained that before a person buy a discounted product, they should think first if they are really excited with the item itself or just the low price offered.
Another mistake is expecting that the product will arrive quickly. Sara Skirboll, shopping and trends expert at RetailMeNot, said that people should be aware that their order needs time to be approved, which might take a long time, especially since the employees are limited during the pandemic.

Skirboll added that if you really want to have the item as soon as possible, you can just go to the shop to pick it up once it is there. This way, you will save your time waiting for the courier.

Which one is better? Cyber Monday or Black Friday?

It is difficult to choose betweem Cyber Monday and Black Friday since retailers are offering great deals during both of the events. However, experts claimed claimed that Cyber Monday has better offers overall.

Business Insider explained that Cyber Monday is a better choice if you want to shop for tech deals and smaller gifts. On the other hand, Black Friday is a great option if you are looking for big-ticket items and newer products.
