China is allegedly developing a new stealth bomber that could destroy a target thousands of kilometers away. The Royal United Services claimed that the new H-20 will allow the Asian country to extend its strike range far from its own shores.
This new jet, which is still under development, could provide China a truly intercontinental capacity. According to South China Morning Post, the London-based Royal United Services Institute of Defense and Security Studies explained how China and Russia were developing their air forces.
These include new weapons and the next-generation fighter jets or stealths.
"Armed with nuclear and conventional stand-off missiles, the H-20 would represent a major break from previous PLAAF (PLA Air Force) doctrine and equipment development practice," said the Royal United Services via SCMP.
China's H-20's capabilities
Asia Times reported that China's H-20 has a range of up to 7,500 miles 12,000 kilometers. What's great about this new stealth bomber is that it can fly great distances without mid-air refueling.

It was also claimed that H-20 can carry massive weapons payload of 45 tonnes! Once China finishes H-20's development, it will represent a major break from previous People's Liberation Army Air Force or PLAAF's equipment and doctrine development practice.
Completing China's nuclear triad
The upcoming H-20's capacity can accommodate 45 tonnes of fire hypersonic cruise missiles and nukes. China is also expecting it to complete the country's so-called nuclear triad.
This project is developing ground-based ballistic missiles, long-range nuclear-capable bombers, and submarine-launched ballistic missiles. Although this stealth bomber has many promising features, it can't compete with the U.S. Air Force's new B-21 Sky Raider.
China's H-20 was supposed to make its first public appearance at Zhuhai Airshow this year, however, the event was cancelled this year because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
