Musk is Suspicious of His COVID-19 Tests

In his post late Thursday, November 12, the billionaire wrote that "something extremely bogus is going on" and that all four tests he took were from the same machine, the same rapid antigen test from BD, and even the same nurse.

However, due to the contradicting test results, it is unclear whether Musk had contracted the disease or not.

According to The Straits Times, the tech CEO also mused that some people might be having the same issues with unreliable coronavirus tests, saying that if it happened to him, it could happen to others as well.

To guarantee the results, Musk decided to take another round of PCR tests with a separate lab and that the results will come out around 24 hours after taking his swabs.

Frequently Downplaying the Pandemic

Musk has had some strong opinions about the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, often downplaying the severity ist severity and often took to Twitter to say what's on his mind, including a tweet back in late June stating that the "ridiculous numbers of false positive " COVID-19 tests were causing the surge in coronavirus cases in the United States.

As a response to that post, Angela Rasmussen, a Columbia University virologist, said Musk was spreading "false and dangerous information," which led to an online dispute between the two.

Furthermore, the tech CEO also said in an interview last September that he will not be getting a coronavirus vaccine for him and his family should the vaccines come, according to Business Insider.

According to him, he and his family are not at risk of contracting the virus.

In a past prediction, the CEO even said that there would be close to zero new cases in the United States by the end of April, as per the Wall Street Journal, saying that people's panicking over the pandemic will "cause more harm than tha virus, if that hasn't happened already."

As of writing, his followers are awaiting his test results along with him to conclude whether he has indeed contracted the disease or not.
