Liam Neeson has had one of the greatest Hollywood re-inventions of all time. He was once an aging dramatic actor, but Neeson quickly became one of the biggest action movie stars in recent history, with a string of films that took him from the 'wise-mentor' archetype to the 'take no prisoners' brawler we see today. There's never been a transformation like Neeson's before, and the man completely owns his new persona.
Then again, the man's never really been tested. Yes, he can play a badass on the screen, but is that really who Liam Neeson is? Are there any skills to back up his performances, or is it all just a lie? Well, fans finally got their answer when Neeson went up against The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon in the most epic arm-wrestling match since Over the Top:
It was back-and-forth for a while, but was there ever really any doubt as to who would emerge victorious? This is Liam Neeson we're talking about - the star of Taken wouldn't let himself lose to some scrawny late night talkshow host. It's almost surprising that Fallon's arm didn't snap off at the shoulder - obviously, Neeson was holding back.
On a side note, does anyone else want to see Neeson be credited as "Dick Rubnuts" for his next movie? We know he just got done re-inventing himself, but his career could probably withstand another tweak.
The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 on NBC.
