AMD Ryzen 5000 series is expected to have more stock soon. The most-awaited CPU chips previously hit the stores, but the manufacturer faced a significant supply shortage.
However, Frank Azor, the company's Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions, claimed that there was no shortage. Last September, he bragged that AMD has the ability to provide enough supply for its upcoming releases.
He gave the statement on Twitter after a VR developer said that AMD's upcoming product releases would also face a "paper launch." This term refers to the company's inability to manufacture a huge number of units.
According to Toms Hardware's latest report, consumers will not be able to buy the product at all because of the low supply, making it like something that doesn't exist.
AMD's Chief Architect claims it is not a 'paper launch'
Azor jokingly accepted the challenge of Andre Elijah, the VR developer who said that he'd bet $10 that AMD will be a paper launch too, just like Nvidia's RTX 3090.

However, the Ryzen 5000 chip still faces a shortage issue. You can't buy the chip unless you shop aftermarket. AMD's Chief Architect defended that this doesn't mean it was a paper launch.
"There's a big difference between a "paper launch" and shipping tons of units but demand exceeds supply," he replied.
