Tech company giant Tesla is making more advancements in their car technology as company CEO Elon Musk leaked that they are developing a Neural Network training computer named "Dojo" to process high definition video data.
This comes after evaluators tend to rank Tesla's Autopilot system intelligence below other driver-assist systems of car manufacturers such as General Motors and Mercedes-Benz.
Such negative reviews may change next year, as Musk disclosed that Tesla is confident to send Version 1 of its “Dojo” supercomputer. Subtle elements about Project Dojo are not yet known so far, even though the CEO has been very optimistic that the supercomputer will have a big impact on their tech, being a truly exaflop system at de facto FP32. This only suggest hat Tesla is creating what seems to be the world’s most effective supercomputer.
Tesla's Dojo Version 1
With Dojo Version 1, the enhancements to Autopilot and Full Self-Driving would likely be exceptionally advanced that it would be pretty senseless to rank Tesla’s driver-assist and self-driving frameworks within the same league as other options advertised by other carmakers. Tesla may be losing at present in various rankings to systems like Super Cruise, apparently due to technicalities. Things may have to change however next year. Tesla Autopilot and FSD may genuinely end up as the “distant first” compared to its competitors, according to Teslarati.
What is mind-blowing is that Tesla’s Autopilot and FSD beta have apparently ended up as the finest driver-assist systems accessible within the market nowadays without Dojo being included. Indeed, offices like Thatcham Research and Consumer Reports, in their assessment of Autopilot, concede that Tesla’s driver-assist framework has more advanced and more developed features than those offered by other carmakers. It was just the system’s title and Autopilot’s driver monitoring system that gave Tesla’s rivals the edge.
Musk's Dojo Version 1 aims to overpower the world's fastest supercomputer Fugaku, which is also developed by a Japanese tech giant Fujitsu and Riken research institute. Fugaku performed up to 415 petaflops, which 2.8 times faster than United States' Oak Ridge National Laboratory's IBM Summit System, formerly known as the world's fastest.
After Dojo 1 Release, what will happen?
When the release of this Tesla car update occurs, CleanTechnica reported that first, social media sites would be flooded with Tesla owners flexing what capabilities Dojo Version 1 can do. It will also boost the consumer's interest in the FSD package, especially with potential new and existing owners.
Second, big-time media sites will write about Tesla owners testing the car's FSD mode to its limits. Critics might also claim that the FSD is not that different from a Tesla vehicle without the Dojo.
Finally, Financial analysts and speculators will start rolling higher program salaries and benefits into their models for Tesla. They will, as well, start tallying potential robotaxi wages in their models.
