Ubisoft has released another new gameplay footage for the highly-anticipated title, "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla," a few days before its imminent launch.
A Sneak Peek Before Launch Day
In a report by NME, the new gameplay footage was nearly two hours long, captured from Microsoft's next-gen console Xbox Series X, set in the early parts of the game up until the main character Eivor reached England.
Based on the report, the video was live-streamed during Ubisoft's "Odin's Hootenanny" that took place on November 6, a celebration of "all things 'Assassin's Creed: Valhalla'."
So, what did fans miss?
Before the actual gameplay, the fans were taken on a New Game tour by Ubisoft's Youssef Maguid and Chris Watters, which allowed new players to choose from the difficulty settings for stealth, exploration, and combat.
Once the players choose the settings they are comfortable with, the game starts with an intro to the game, showing a young Eivor, which quickly introduces some action for the fans, featuring Vikings' dark and violent world back then.
SPOILER ALERT: It also includes a drowning horse, so if you're not a fan of that and was traumatized by Artax and the "The Neverending Story," we advise you to skip that part.
After that, the scene jumps to the time Eivor is slightly older and their early adventures.
More of How the Game Works
By this time, the Ubisoft team proceeded to ascend a mountain to sync the in-game map and then show a breathtaking and stunning view of a Norwegian countryside perfectly replicated in 3D form.
After syncing the map, players will then see waypoints, which they could explore.
There are three waypoint categories marked on the map: one for Wealth, one for Artifacts, and one for Mysteries--but before they could show more of the nature of the missions of these waypoints, Watters and Maguid, the devs jumped further into the game when the game's main hero has reached England through a saved file.
The "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" devs showed some parts of how settlements work, some combat and cosmetic options, as well as the different weapon types available in-game.
They also showed the option that allows players to change Eivor's gender throughout the game.

'Assassin's Creed: Valhalla' Full Maps Revealed
In related news, full maps for "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" have been revealed online via PowerPyx, including Norway (where the early game is mainly set) and England, which is the main open world players will have to explore.
Furthermore, ScreenRant reported that the website has also shared the maps for small areas like Vinland, a historical place where experts believe Vikings dwelled, as well as Asgard and Jotunheim, which should be familiar to Norse mythology fans.
Coinciding with the released official gameplay of "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla," players can expect to see waypoints scattered throughout the map.
"Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" will be released tomorrow, November 10, on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well as on next-gen consoles Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, with Ubisoft promising a 4K 60fps gameplay for new consoles.
Nevertheless, it seems like fans who want to play on PC will need an extra reliable gaming PC as 40K 60fps won't be able to run even in flagship hardware featuring GeForce RTX 3090, as per TweakTown.
