According to Starlink's beta consumer service terms, SpaceX won't be forced to recognize international law. Since the Mars colonization hasn't started yet, Musk currently uses his space company to send constellations of satellites.

These small spaceships will provide an internet connection for creating an autonomous city on the Red Planet, as reported by the New York Post.

According to The Daily Mail UK's latest report, a Twitter user under the name "Whole Mars Catalog," posted a screenshot of the terms of service. The account seems to be the first to share Starlink's beta consumer service terms' 9th clause.

NASA's Earth-orbiting Hubble Space Telescope took this picture June 26, 2003 of Mars. Mars was approximately 43 million miles (68 million km) from Earth, the closest Mars has ever been to Earth since 1988. Frosty white water ice clouds and swirling orange dust storms above a vivid rusty landscape reveal Mars as a dynamic planet in this sharpest view ever obtained by an Earth-based telescope. The text continues, stating that no Earth-based government has authority or sovereignty over Martian activities. These include the services on Mars and transit to Mars via Starship or other colonization spacecraft.

Musk said that Mars settlers have to be self-sufficient

Previously, Elon Musk said that Mars settlers should be self-sufficient if ever spaceships from Earth stop arriving on the Red Planet. He shared the details of his vision during the Mars Society's annual conference.

He added that the Mars colony will lead to the following; the self-sustaining city will either be created before or after World War 3. Musk also explained that there's a low chance that the city will be built after the speculated WWIII, and he is hoping it the war won't happen.
