Apple could be working on an unreleased 2020 16-inch MacBook Pro. The hint comes after the tech giant accidentally announced the release of the latest Boot Camp update.
The Apple latest Boot Camp update came as the usual documentation release aside from the mention of an unreleased version of a MacBook Pro.
Boot Camp Update on 2020 16-inch Mac Book Pro
According to MacRumors, the Boot Camp update version 6.1.13 documentation mentioned fixes on a stability issue that could occur during heavy CPU load. The update specifically mentioned the 2020 13-inch Mac Book Pro as well as the 2019 and 2020 16-inch Mac Book Pro.
Seeing the documentation mentioning the hinted device, readers presume it to be a typo error. However, reports say that Apple followers take it more as an accidental leak from the Cupertino tech giant.
On the other hand, reports say that the accidental leak actually talks about the 2019 version. Although Apple released high-end graphics for the said model in June 2020, the tech giant website refers to the notebook configuration as 2019 models.
The Boot Camp 61.1.13 update that readers referred to as an accidental leak specifically mentioned improvement on the Mac compatibility when running through Boot Camp. It also comes with improvement on audio recording quality upon using the built-in microphone.
2020 16-inch Mac Book Pro Specifications
Mac Pro users may expect the rumored 2020 16-inch Mac Book Pro to come with an Intel Processor as it supports Boot Camp. They may also expect its processors to be ARM-based and smaller than those of the 12-inch, 13-inch, and 14-inch Mac Book Pro.
If Apple follows the 2019 features of the accidentally revealed device, Mac Book lovers could expect the 2020 model to have slimmer bezels as well. They may also see a magic keyboard as released in November 2019.
The said version featured upgraded speakers and microphones along with the AMD Radeon Pro 5000M series graphics. It boasted an SSD storage of 8TB as well as RAM as large as 64GB.
Should the hinted 2020 version comes with the same features, Mac Book lovers may expect the pricing to be not lower than the $2,399 starting price of the 2019 version.
Apple Silicon Processor
Reports suggest that Apple is working on its own custom Silicon processor. The said innovation is expected to debut on November 17 through an Apple Mac model.
The silicon processor is Apple's leap from the Intel processors to its own ARM chips almost similar to those of the iPhones' and iPad's.
However, the rumored 2020 16-inch Mac Book Pro may not be the first to taste the said novelty as it is expected to run first on the lower end for notebooks. Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst revealed that the Apple silicon processor will launch on the possible return of the portable 12-inch Mac Book, 13-inch as well as the Mac Book Air.
The analyst hinted that Apple plans to reinvent a retired Mac Book and use it as the very first Apple Silicon Mac Book launched.
