"Pokemon GO"always releases new exciting events. Now, the game launched its Strange Eggs Event, which revolves around new red eggs and Team Rocket. The villains have gotten a hold of these strange items, and it is up to you to defeat them.
Once you successfully win against Team Rocket, you'll receive the strange red eggs, which can give you surprising rewards after the event. Trainers will have to walk 12 km in order to hatch them.
Spawns, balloons, and more
According to Forbes' latest report, eggs are not the only new things in "Pokemon GO." Dark and Poison-type Pokemons, such as Houndour, Poochyena, Gulpin, Stunky, Spinarak, and Purrloin, will appear. There will also be more balloons during the event, which is pretty helpful for those players who want to fight team rocket, but don't want to leave their houses.
Defeating Team Rocket may be difficult during the new event since Grunts receives Shellder, Diglett, Slowpoke, Skarmory, and Aerodactyl in his new Pokemon line up.
The new event still has more to offer since it will feature new shiny versions of shadow-type Pokemons. These include Drowzee, Omnyte, and Growlithe.
However, if you want to have these goodies, then you need to do some serious fighting since they'll be available from gym leaders.
Some players are furious with the requirements
Although the new "Pokemon GO" event seems fun, some players are disappointed with the Strange Eggs event. Why? Because it requires them to walk 12 km just to hatch the red eggs.
Dexerto reported that once you hatch the egg, there's a chance that it contains Scraggy, Larvitar, Trubbish, Vullaby, Deino, Pawniard, and more. Although these are great rewards, some Twitter users said that the requirement is "tone-deaf."
"12 is a too much full stop. 10 is too much. The egg pools are absolute garbage for ALL eggs, there's basically no point to them anymore," said one of the players.
"They're TWELVE KM? That just seems tone deaf," said another user.
Currently, Niantic didn't release any confirmation if it will reduce the required distance.
