The long-awaited Japanese massive multiplayer online role-playing game, Phantasy Star Online 2, will be making its Steam debut tomorrow, August 5, after almost eight years of waiting.
Alongside this, developers will release the AC Scratch "Maestro Summoner" Collection that will include some exclusive flashy elegant outfits together with casual costumes.
North American fans and gamers of the MMORPG franchise have been waiting for the game since its release way back in 2012. SEGA then released a beta version of the NA region game version in the Windows and Xbox One platforms last May 2020.
Fans look forward to its Steam debut tomorrow, August 5, as part of the developers' promise of extending the franchise to more platforms. Steam is just one of the game's commitment in providing more platforms with access to the online world of Phantasy Star.
Phantasy Star Online 2, what is it?
The Phantasy Star Online 2 is the sequel to the franchise's first title, Phantasy Star Online. This game is a wildly popular game that initially catered exclusively to the Japanese market.
SEGA developed the game as an online platform that enables its users and gamers to create their avatar from different races and classes. These avatars are called ARKS operatives, known for being a part of its elite space force, voyaging to different planets. Players will have the freedom to journey to various exotic locations, fending off wild, dangerous, and peculiar monsters.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is much like its predecessor and is in its eight years, but this is not a setback for the developers and gamers because SEGA proves that this is a timeless game, constantly updating and providing its patrons new and improved gameplay.
Maestro Summoner Collection
SEGA launches the "Maestro Summer" Collection alongside the games NA Steam Debut. It is a collection of skins and outfits of the game's avatars giving flair and spice to a player's gameplay.
Purchase fast because the collection will be made available from August 5, 2020 (12:00 AM PDT) until September 1.
The AC Scratch collection is the game's loot box that offers tickets purchased with the in-game currency, Arks Cash, PSO2 developers said.
