Pokemon GO Fest 2020: Streamers Get Banned After Caught Spoofing While in-Game!

One of the grandest events of Pokemon GO called 'Pokemon GO Fest 2020' has been a total success and enjoyable day for all PoGo players, stuck in their houses amid pandemic. Over the weekend, millions of Pokemon trainers joined in one event to catch rare and shiny pocket monsters. Unfortunately, it's not that great weekend for some game streamers.

Someone spoof on Fest 2020?

Two game streamers that went live on Friday, July 24, received ban notice after allegedly using spoofing apps while in-game.

A Pokemon GO game streamer named Shaun Limit3d uploaded a live stream video on Friday. At first, it was a typical streaming intro for the Pokemon GO Fest 2020. He impressively caught a number of Pokemon Shinies such as Unown, Tangela, Durant, Victini, and others.

Minutes after he caught Shiny Gible, a warning notice popped into his screen saying, "Account Termination Notice: Your account has been permanently terminated for violating the Terms of Service." The video is linked below.

Redditors exposed that Shaun Limit3d was using iSpoofer, which is the number one PoGo spoofing app today.

Another streamer caught Pokemon GO spoofing!

Another leaked video of streamer was uploaded on the same day. The same thing happened. Here's what it looks like on the live stream. Compared to the first video, this streamer was hiding his trainer's name.

How to do Pokemon Go Spoofing?

Early July, Tech Times reported about the Pokemon GO spoofing guides. For those of you who still didn't know it, Pokemon GO spoofing is no longer a new cheating tactic in the game.

Since the Niantic video game relies on locations, gamers tend to put some cheating machinery to change their location. In this way, they will have a higher chance of catching the rarest and shiniest Pokemon, all over the world. But when someone tries to do it on the Pokemon GO Fest 2020 itself, that's a big and punishable move.

Just in case you still want to do it, there are the guides you need to use a spoofing app on your next PoGo game.

In Apple App Store and Google Play Store, a lot of PoGo spoofing apps are available to be downloaded. The top spoofing apps are Dr. Fone, ThinkSky's iTools, iSpoofer, or use a VPN on your device.

Here's a warning

Since you're changing your real location into a fake one, using any spoofing apps may result in your banning of the game. Like the two streamers, they use spoofing apps to bypass the Niantic game's tracker easily. And it resulted in not-so-good news.

The choice as a gamer is still yours. Whether to use a spoofing app to cheat your way to the game, or enjoyably play it for a cleaner purpose.
